2020 Apothea Reflections

I’m the person who always gets excited for the New Year, I set goals for myself and work really hard to achieve them! While starting Apothea has been a long-term goal of mine, I’m especially proud that I was able to build it during a pandemic.

I’ve already started working on my 2021 goals, but I wanted to take a moment to reflect on 2020.

Since launching Apothea on June 1, 2020 I was:

  • Invited on a podcast and shared my story as a full time working mom/pharmacist/consultant. I have listened to podcasts for years, and it was a huge honor to be a guest!

  • I published a digital article for the company Levels, you can find it here! This was another goal of mine! I loved working with Levels, I really believe metabolic health is the future! I am still using their program to monitor my health. Thank you for the opportunity Levels!

  • As a consultant I worked with seven companies! You can find them listed under “trusted by:” on my website. A last minute goal for 2020 was to get this section published onto my website as well as to build some testimonials. Thank you Emily for your help with this!

  • I was a guest on an international livestream! Wow, this was not on my radar but I absolutely loved it! You can find my livestream by downloading the DMP app and going to resources, then livestream archives. Thank you for inviting me on DMP! I’m excited for the future of this company in 2021, definitely keep an eye out for them!

  • I wrote and published 28 blog posts! Something you may not know about Apothea, was that the blog was a very last minute addition to Apothea. While I was building the company, I didn’t think I’d have time to consult and write for myself but the blog has been so fun to write. Thank you for reading it and connecting with me!

  • A few other small things I accomplished; establishing an LLC, filing for business licenses, setting up the tax information for a small business, all the banking stuff. I also started writing my book, I am hoping to finish it this spring! I registered for Board Certification and started studying. I started teaching at the University of Florida as a career coach, on-site preceptor and giving back to the next generation of pharmacists is a newfound passion.

Welp, Goodbye 2020!
