How it Started How its Going

I’m six months into running Apothea.co, I’m still in disbelief how fast those 6 months have gone! I recently got an email from a reader, who told me she found my post about “Starting a Small Business” so interesting and we discussed it further via email. She was interested in how it was going and how I was doing it all. I thought with the end of 2020 and hitting a 6 month milestone I’d share some of my biggest takeaways. 

I did a workshop about Living with Intention, Clarity & Confidence in 2021, and I highly recommend reflecting back on wins/loses and setting goals for the new year.

Here are my biggest takeaways from my first 6 months as a consultant:

-I genuinely enjoy meeting new people,  Apothea has given me the ability to build relationships.

-Build a scheduled time to work -list all the tasks that need to get done, then time block everything

-Networking is SO important! I’ve been given opportunities from friends of friends of friends (thank you!)

-Stick to a contract, when it’s over it’s time to move on or re-evaluate. I’ve enjoyed working with my clients and as a result I overstayed my commitment. I don’t regret it, but it’s limited my ability to work on new projects.  

-Explore all opportunities! Say yes, learn new tasks, send the email! If it doesn’t work out, it will be ok but not attempting will leave you wondering!
