My Logo Story

Something that I often get asked is about my logo, and it is a story I love telling! 

To begin I’ll have to go back first and tell you a little family story. My grandfather had purchased a pharmacy many, many years ago when he opened his own business. Although he was not a pharmacist, he was a “printer” and he transformed the pharmacy into a print shop. Since he didn’t have many clients coming into his shop, he decided to keep some of the original pharmacy decor.

I spent many years with him at “the shop” as we called it, essentially surrounded by pharmacy decor for my childhood. Coincidentally I decided I wanted to be a pharmacist in high school. When I got accepted to pharmacy school, I told him that I wanted some of the original pharmacy decor. He happily agreed, and gave me all the pharmacy decor which have been living in a  box for years. 

When I was working on the design of Apothea, I wanted to somehow incorporate them into my business. I sent a picture of the original cabinet handles to my brand designer, and she sent me back what is now my company logo!

I love how my logo came out! I feel really attached to my logo for this reason, and it will always hold a special place in my heart!
